The name of the sexiest group in all of post-Soviet countries is deciphered as:
VIA is an acronym for: The musical group ViaGra was the realization of a concept thought out by two producers,
Dmitry Kostyuk and Konstantin Meladze.Their goal was to create the images of a blonde
and brunette performing a theatre of song and dance in the vision of Konstantin Meladze.
Meladze,the musical producer of group,created a complete project:the songs,the image,
and the personalities of the performers.So well thought out in every detail, the plan
included instructions regarding how to speak in an interview, how to smile,
how to choose friends,and how to behave in private life. Alena Vinnickaja was working at Ukraine broadcaster BIZ-TV under Dmitry when Meladze
invited her to join the group. Alena had hopes af creating her own group, but the plan
had not worked out.Meladze tailored the music to fit well with the personality and
vocal ability of Alena.
Although she didn't like the name Via-Gra, she was able to portray the personality
of the blonde, conforming to the sexual overtones and innuendo implied within the role.
The blonde is indistinguishable from a legion of blondes until she is accompanied by a brunette. Nadya Granovskayawas invited to join the group after the producers have looked at a series of her in
amateur pictures. Nadya was a dancer, she started in childrens dance collectives and was now
a teacher / choreographer .She filled in her spare time with bodybuilding, hang-gliding,
and she enjoyed jet skiing.  Via-Gra 2001:(L-R)Nadya & Alena The pieces of the group have now come together: the blonde singer, and the brunette dancer. It is possible to consider on September, 3rd, 2000 Via-Gras official birthday,for on that fateful day the first ever airing of their debut song, Popitka #5 aired on BIZ-TV in Keiv. From there, Via-Gra virtually skyrocketed to fame.The successful debut surpassed even the most courageous expectations of producers of collective of Dmitry Kostyuk and Konstantin Meladze. Popitka #5 quickly rose to number one on the music charts,and was featured on several popular 'hit' compilation CDs in Russia and Ukraine.The popularity was overwhelming - by September 12th the CD had 'sold out' and there were many pirated versions of the song . Ukrainian press was enamored ' with the Riddle of the name 'VIA-Gra 'The intrigued public is engaged in generating of uncountable assumptions of girls,producers and the future of the collective.Interest in the group grows,intensifies, and nearly overwhelms the group. They receive many invitations to perform concerts and for interviews. Having only 1 hit,the group refuse. And just when their success was dying down,in late autumn they released a video for their follow-up single,the cheerful and dancy pop song Obnimi Menya. In order to capitalize on their success the groups management decided to release the first full-length Via-Gra album which, as expected, was entitled after their major smash "Popytka No. 5". By the end of 2000 the repertoir of the group has grown to 7 songs and they went on tour.
The first Via-Gra concert took place on December, 20th in Dnepropetrovsk on the stage of
the Ice Palace in the presence of 4,000 spectators. The year 2002 brought many changes to the group, as Alena Vinnitskaja married Sergey Alekseeva,
and in August Nadya gave birth to her son Igor.
In Nadyas absence,Kostyuk and Meladze have started casting to fill the vacant role of the brunette.
They ended up having chosen two. Anna Sedokova will take over as the dancing brunette,
and Tanya Naynik, a 24 year old model who was often absent,and didn't remain in the group for long.
However, her mark was left on the group since after that time Via-Gra becomes a trio.
Anna began acting in national ensemble of Ukraine "Svitanok" when she was 6 years old.
When she finally joined the group, she was 19. And it was not her first attempt.
Anna auditioned at one of the very first casting calls for Via-Gra one and a half years earlier.
After that she worked for the musical channel, then became the leader of teleshow.
The producers finally gave in,since the girl has kept trying for one and a half years, and have
invited her to sing in the group.  Via-Gra2002:(L-R)Tanya(front),Alena, & Anna Anna and Tanya made their public debut at ceremony of delivery of the premium "Ovation" on May, 23rd in Moscow. Rumors abound that they are made up with silicone and surgery. The interviews went okay,passing only the given information for the press. Reviewing the articles about them in newspapers,it's possible recognize their golden formula. The new trio at once began work on a new song titled, Stop! Stop! Stop! . A music video followed. For their efforts they received the Ovatsia award on May, 23rd in Moscow . On August, 15th Nadya gave birth to her son. On September 12th the group finished the video for Good morning,Papa . The main topic of the new work was Nadya ! Returnings of the sexy brunette in collective very much awaited by both the fans of group, and their producers,and heads of company Sony Music. It was required of young mum of less than a month to get into shape. In the video Nadya was dressed in a miniskirt and has first waved off Tanya and apparently went on to kill the maniac in the lift. So it would appear . Not long after it was revealed that Tanya has left Via-Gra to become a television personality. In the autumn Alena, Nadya and Ana took part in filming of Russian MTVs the Ukrainian 20. Closer to that years end the ladies from Via-Gra also displayed themselves as actresses having played the roles of crowned heads in a TV musical called Zolyshka (Cinderella). advantage of it and in the beginning of January has amazed the public with their first and main
anouncement - Alain Vinnitskuju, left trio for solo career.Vera 'Brezhneva' amazing blonde who
recently became the Via-Gra blonde. Along with her extraordinary beauty, bubbly personality,

First of all have received that in Japan the first international release of an English-speaking album of the trio, Stop! Stop! Stop! The album features the best hits of Via-Gra with vocals in English, and also, for transfer of national colour to foreigners, includes 5 compositions in Russian. After the release of the album in Japan has begun active the promotion work. Nu Virgos has performed on one of prestigious stages in Tokyo, has taken part in programs of National telechannel Fuji TV and MTV Asia, and also has given interview and posed for popular press. official web-site as well as by the release of three new videos: "Take You Back",
"I Don't Want a Man" and "Brillianty". Additionally NU VIRGOS picked up their second in a
row MUZ TVs "The Best Pop Act" award.
In January 2006 Nu Virgos were officially represented as a participant at MIDEM 2006 -
the worlds largest music market held in Cannes, France. Despite the heavy touring this
year the group have offered two more publicly and critically acclaimed videos:
Obmani No Ostansya(Tell me lie) and L.M.L. and completed a long-awaited new English album,
(their second after Stop! Stop! Stop!)LML, which is due this autumn . September 2006 has marked the 6th anniversary of the sexiest act throughout the CIS. For years the phenomenon of this extra-popular outfit cannot be discovered neither by critics, nor by the media, nor by the trios enormous army of followers. Nevertheless the puzzle of their success is quite simple. Nu Virgos (a.k.a.V.I.A. GRA in Ukraine, Russia and other ex-USSR territories) its' the talent, beauty, amazing energy and magnetism of the vocalists Vera Brezhneva, Albina Dzhanabayeva and Olga Koryagina, music, wonderful songs and gentle soul of composer Konstantin Meladze, high-precision estimation of manager Dmitriy Kostiuk complete with professionalism, harmony and superb taste in everything from musical arrangements to stage costumes. Just several ingredients have given life to the act that has no equal neither by external image, nor by musical content. A second English language album "LML" was scheduled for release in November, 2006 . In early April 2007, due to unexpected pregnancy, Olga left the group. On September, 5th the debut of a new clip for the song "Potselui" premiered in Ukraine,and on September, 10th - in Russia. On November, 1st girls have let out(have released) a new album "Potselui". In album is 19 hits of Nu Virgos.What advice would be to submit a new group of people Nu Virgos agrees to photography in two magazines Maxim and FHM where in interviews they talk about the career of Vera Brezhnev and of a new album which is expected in February 2008. On October 12th, it was announced that Vera Brezhnev was returning to the group. Citing waning popularity,Vera announced that she was rejoining Via-Gra in an attempt to restore the title of 'sexiest' girl group. The tour will include stops in Japan, Germany, Great Britain, and others. * In March of 2008, it was announced that the newest member of VIA-Gra is Tatiana Kotova. Sony signed them in 2002, and decided to begin marketing them internationally. Their original name, VIA-Gra, of course, is very close to "Viagra", the trademarked name of the well-known anti-impotence drug sildenafil citrate, owned by the American pharmaceutical manufacturer Pfizer, Inc. In order to avoid a trademark lawsuit (and other possibly unwanted interpretations in the minds of the public), Sony told them to choose another name to use on the international market. With a wry sense of humor, they choose the name Nu Virgos (ie., The New Virgins). They use both names: VIA-Gra in Russia and the CIS, and Nu Virgos internationally.
