here.) Stojanka Stoja Novakovik, was born on June 4 1972 in the village of Perlez located in the Zrenjanin municipality, in the Central Banat District of Serbia.
In early childhood she was very restless and full of playful energy.She was also very rebellious. Stoja began singing with the school choir,
where her outstanding vocal qualities were recognized early on.She would later become the lead vocalist in the group.
Her legendary voice is said to be inherited from her father,Milan. By the time she was 15,she was regularly employed, performing outside of school.
On the folk scene, her appearance caused a real-stir- Stojas appearance and authentic voice was unique among the local musicians.
She simply is not similar to any singer up to that time.At the age of 17 she became a mother,giving birth to her son,Milana.
It would be another 9 years before Stoja released her first album, "Kako Je Meni Sada", through Lazarevic Productions in 1998.
Her second album,"Ciki-Ciki" was released through Grand Production, owned by Lepa Brena.The title track "Ciki, Ciki", was also her first single.
Stoja released her third album, "Samo", in 2000,producing several 'hit songs' .That same year she won the award for Best Singer in Serbia.
And within a short time, Stoja had become one of the most popular and respected singers in the Balkans.
Soon Stoja begins to collaborate with the best composers and lyricists available on the music scene,
collecting numerous music awards and trophies along the way.
To say that she is one of the most famous and one of the best voice in the Balkans ... is the obvious.
Always modest, Stojanka did not let all the success and fame go to her head! She is warm and always in the mood for conversation.
Although Stoja lives in Belgrade with her son (Milan) she has kept in contact with her friends from the time before was famous.
She is always very emotional and full of love for everyone. Very much loves to help others and to keep working.
In 2005, she won the Singer of the Year award in Bosnia.She also became a grandmother at the age of 33.
"Metak" her 2006 album was very well accepted and songs from this album were regularly played in all discotheques.
As her new album "Do Gole Koza" was released at the beginning of summer 2008, at the time of year
when most peoples plans had already been set.
She had to promote new songs and to run from one performance to another, all the while, of course making money.
Only now, has Stoja found a little time to rest, and is preparing for a holiday in Austria.
Of all places, in November(2008).
If you could afford to vacation in exotic tropical coasts, and to enjoy warm sands under the palm trees on the coast, but Stoja has still decided to go to the North.
She does not enjoy winter that much, but decided to spend fifteen days relaxing in a local spa.
An 'exotic' holiday will occur only after the new year, when she plans to get "sun-burned" in an attractive tourist destination. Somewhere.
Even into April 2009, Stoja is planning to complete videos for the songs from her 2008 album.
"This video (Progresna) I recorded last year and still was waiting too long after the release of new songs ...for production to finish.
Although I have done a few months ago (these songs were popular then), I decided to wait and do spots for "Do Gole Koza" and "Kuska".
(Until) Finally, the hit "Progresna" came on the line!
We will probably burn a few more clips for the songs from the current album as many have become very popular.
